James Campbell, Esqr.
Divis. Supt. U. P. R.
Ogden.

Dear Sir,

Yours of the 31st. Jan. came duly to hand but was inadvertently mislaid and I now hasten to reply to it, hoping the delay will have caused you no serious inconvenience.

I really have no disposition to sell my own Utah Central Stock at present, and I am not aware of any being offered for sale.

The excellent paying character of the road is telling on the value of the Stock, and while it continues to increase, as in all probability it will do for some time, the Stockholders are not likely to sell.

I will bear in mind your proposition, however, and will take pleasure in apprising you should any opportunity for investing present itself, worthy your notice.

Yours with respect
Brigham Young
