Hiram Hamilton, Esqr.
Bantas, Cal.

Dear Sir,

As considerable interest has been enkindled here on the subject of keeping bees, I would like to learn from you how they are selling in Cal, and, if you are still in the business, at what price, you are willing to deliver good, thorough swarms, either at the cars in Cal. or delivered in Ogden City.

We want to ascertain whether we are to look east or west to make our purchases, and would be pleased to hear from you at the earliest opportunity, as several persons contemplate going east soon on this business.

Please state the prices of the different kinds, the Italian, the Black bee &c.

Yours with respect
Brigham Young

Phineas, Brigham H. & friends generally are well.
