Mrs. Katharine Salisbury.

Dear Sister,

Yours of the 7th inst. was duly received, not having been delayed in the snow blockade as so much of our mail had been.

I was pleased to hear form you by Bro. Sanford who returned home all safe, and like your letter met with no detention.

The contents of your letter were duly noted, and your request for $150.00 additional to help you complete your house will be complied with. I will send the money in the spring by some one of our elders going east doubtless soon after April Conference.

Prest. Geo. A. Smith informs me he has written you at length with regard to general news, and I will merely add that nothing has yet transpired to change the aspect of affairs pertaining to the courts although we hope much from the action of Congress and the Supreme Court, where we believe there is still good sense enough left to frown down the illegal proceedings that have so disgraced the federal judiciary here. My health continues good for which I feel very thankful. Bro. George A. sends his regards, and we jointly wish you every success in completing your house, and long life, and good health to enjoy it.

Your Bro. in the Gospel
Brigham Young
