Dear bro:

Bro. John Smith, Patriarch, wishes to perfect his title to the West half of lot 2 in Blk 59. in the 14 Ward of this city, which through some inattention remains yet in your name -it includes the piece you traded to bro C. W. West which he deeded to me and the corner you turned into the P. E. Fund. I have accordingly had a deed thereto filled out for him which is herewith enclosed, and if you will sign it# for brother John you will do him a favor and oblige
