Salt Lake City. March 4. 1872.

Mrs. Lucy B. Young,
St. George.

My dear wife, I send you the enclosed receipt for syrup. My health continues good for which I feel very thankful. The health of the family generally is also good. How are you all?

This morning is so pleasant and fine, as was also yesterday, that it seems as if spring had already set in, but we will doubtless have lots of cold weather yet.

No new developments yet with regard to the coming trials, the time for which is drawing near, next Monday is the day fixed by the court for mine, and we are looking with some curiosity, but very little anxiety, to see what the next move will be, I have never wavered in my belief that out enemies will make a fizzle of the concern and heap to themselves shame and disgrace.

Give my kind love to all, and accept the same yourself.

Your affecionate husband,
Brigham Young

P. S. The enclosed order for flour is for Joseph W. Young's wife.
