Sir,
Yours to Prest. Brigham Young, and others, on the subject of a traction steam engine was received after a lengthy detention in the snow blockade

I have been instructed to say to you that there are already in this section, two road steamers, both of the most improved pattern, but in consequence of the general uneveness of our roads and the frequency of irrigating ditches they are not as yet in use.

The horse railroad is being constructed and the rails are now on the way here.
