March 12. 1872.

Mr. L. Y. Reavis,
St. Louis, Mo.

Dear Sir,
Yours to Prest. B. Young was received after a lengthy detention in the snow blockade on the U.P.R.R.

He instructed me to acknowledge the receipt thereof and to assure you that his time is fully occupied in business here, precluding the possibility of his visiting St. Louis. Indeed he has never been to the States since '47.

Thanking you at the same time for your offer.

Yours with respect,
D. McKenzie, Sec. Prest. B. Young
