Your favor of the 28th ult. tendering me an offer of the legal services of A. W. Tanney, Esq. Attorney at law. was duly received.

Please accept my thanks for your interest in this behalf and oblige me by presenting my compliments to the Judge, but, really, it appears to me that sufficient legal talent has already been retained for these cases. If, however, circumstances should seem to determine otherwise, I will bear your offer in mind and inform you accordingly.
