Your letter to the prest. of the 30th Ult. was read to him, and the subject was again brought up to-day.

The mention made to the Prest. by Bro. Hooper was, that the Indian reservations in Utah were not entered as such, and, consequently, were subject to entry by citizens like any other public lands. He expected however to obtain the commissioner's endorsement of this fact & promised to telegraph accordingly. We have waited for this telegram but it has not been received, and the Prest. instructed me to write to you to go ahead and enter your lands, an
