I would respectfully suggest to you bro Staines that it would be wise for you to deposit (yourself) all the money that you receive, at the house where you do business, if you deposit at all -- and then allow no one but yourself to draw it out, and if I could advise you I would say dont hire a clerk and place that power in his hands, as you might find him missing some morning, like Belle Rieve. If one of the boys from here was returning home, it might be different, but I have a fear that if you place any power in the hands of others it may be disastrous to you. You dont need to hire any clerk at all so far as we at the office are concerned, if you will simply make a record of the facts in a book, just as you would a diary of your daily life it would be the very best. Excuse my anxiety -- it may be needless We are all well -- weather lovely -- President gone to point of Mountn. to day.

As ever
