Dear Bro:

Your letter to the President respecting Bro. Daniel Thompson, Bp of Scipio; was duly received and read to him. He instructed me to write to you, but from an accident your letter was mislaid. The Prest's remark was "I think Bro. Thomson had better take a mission to the lowlands in some of the Southern States," I am sorry this matter has been neglected, but if you think it advisable to act upon the suggestion in any way, it may not be to late yet, to prove of some advantage to Bishop Thomson.
