Mr. Joseph S. Wing.
Springville City.

Dear Bro:-

Yours of a recent date in relation to your difficulty with the High Council is received. I had not learned of this matter before, and am ignorant now whether you were cut off by the authorities of Springville or by the High Council. If by the latter, it would be proper, feeling agrieved as you do, to appeal the case, to the High Council at Provo, and if their decision did not suit you, and you wished to appeal it to the First Presidency, you should apply for a copy of the minutes of the trial, so that we could get at the facts in the case, and perhaps avoid bringing the parties here.

Your Bro. in the Gospel
Brigham Young

Since writing the foregoing, I was instructed by the Prest. to retain it till the 4th order was procured and send all together. its number is 10220.
