Mrs. Emma Wood, Bountiful.

Dear Sister,
Yours concerning Bro. Almond has been received, and the Prest. is in poor health.

When you were here, Prest. Geo. A. Smith took the case in hand, he saw Bishop Taylor
of the 14th Ward & instructed him to wait upon Bro. Almond, he did so, and reported that Bro. Almond's circumstances were such at the present time, (being out of employment) that he could not comply with your request, but he stated his willingness to take the old lady and support her.

If this is not satisfactory and you wish to keep her, and have some assistance from tithing,
Bishop Stoker is the person to apply to, & if he requires counsel about it, he has Bishop Hunter to go to, but the Prest. is opposed to jumping over the proper authorities, his rule being to respect men in their proper places.

Your Bro. in the Gospel
D. McKenzie
