Dr bro:-- Your favor of 11th inst. is received. You wish me to forward funds to Liverpool ($23.30) to aid Jno Stevenson, of Dundee, Scotland, to emigrate, as he will be so much short. In reply I am compelled to say that I have not the power to do as you wish. From what you say there should have been enclosed a letter from br. Carrington to sister Aird -- this did not come to hand. If you wish the $30. order in my favor on the ZCMI cashed and remitted to bro. Stevenson, certain, whether or no, please say so, and we will let you have a draft that you can send to him. It will be necessary for any person wishing assistance rendered to any person desirous of emigrating to apply direct to Prest. Young, but the funds are very low in consequence of the donations to the PE Fund being generally given for the emigration of only certain ones.

Please find $30. order as above, herewith enclosed.

Your brother in the Gospel
T.W. Ellerbeck Clk.
