Dear Brethren,

Yours of the 22nd. inst. inviting me to join in your excursion from the south to Ogden on the 24th. inst. has been received. Thanks for your kind invitation, but having just returned from our recent trip to Payson, and not being in robust health, I hardly think it would be prudent on my part to go.

May you have a good, peaceable, and interesting time, free from any accident or misfortune to mar the pleasure of the excursion.
