Mad:-- Yours of the 12th inst. has been received and its contents noted. We think your intention to join with the Saints here, a proper one, and we believe that you will find it to your interest to do so, if your intention is to serve God and keep His commandments.

We hold out no inducements to any person to come here, and cannot give you any assurance of a situation upon your arrival; in that respect, you would have to take the same chances that others do. I believe, however, that, having the qualifications you represent, you will find no difficulty in getting a situation such as you desire, and good, and efficient school teachers are very welcome.
