Mr. John Steele
Toquerville, Kane Co.

Dear Bro:-- Yours to Prest. B. Young of the 8th. inst. has been received.

He instructed me to write a card to the Saints which would answer your application and many others like it. That card was published in the Deseret News last night (29th.) and will doubtless be published in the weekly, and semi-weekly. It shews that very little is really done in the way of donation, the most of the means now contributed has been for certain specified individuals, and the fund has nothing to do with that money.

What little there has been donated, has been sent to Bro. Carrington to use at his discretion for such persons as are considered worthy.

The price to bring adults from England is about $100.00

Your Bro. in the Gospel
D. McKenzie.
