My dear Son.

I sent you to-day a telegram instructing you to order a set of boxes to be cast for one passenger car to run on the Utah Central Railroad.

As we desire to test the divided axle at the same time, we will require the proper number of boxes for that purpose; and it may be advisable to have the axles made in the east also; and better, perhaps, the entire truck.

Last evening the City Council granted the privilege of running a Locomotive over the new track to be laid from the depot to the Temple Block, on South Temple Street. Anothern petition asking the right of way on the new route to the Warm Springs was referred to the committee on municipal laws, who were instructed to draft a resolution granting the request.
