Mr. W. Sawyer
4. Burdett Rd Bow E. London, England.

Dear Bro:-

Yours of July 21. to Prest. Young was duly received.

Immediately upon its rect, he telegraphed to the Bishop at Smithfield that he wished the Saints there to raise means for your emigration, the result of which is that up to Augt. 16. $210.00 had been subscribed & paid in for that purpose. It is therefore quite probable that if Bro Weekes will exercise due diligence and keep the matter before the bishop and the people that sufficient will be realized for your deliverance this season.

Donations for the poor (when persons have not been nominated by the donors) have been sent to Prest. Carrington with discretionary power to use them in favor of the most worthy.

I sincerely trust you may be successful in accomplishing your desire this season, and be permitted to join us here in peace and safety.

Your Bro. in the Gospel

D. McKenzie
