Dear Sir:-- It is now some time since my Returns of Income for the years 1868. 1869.
1870 and 1871 were made out and sworn to before you, and have not yet been called upon for
payment thereof. I shall be pleased to pay the amounts for the various years, according to said
Returns, whenever the proper officer will notify me. (amounting in all to Eight Hundred Thirty
four 45/100 dollars.)
