Yours to Prest. Young of Sept. 5. was duly received.

He instructed me to write to you that he would speak with Bishop Smoot on the matter alluded to, and he thought for certain reasons that nothing would be done in the premises before the Probate Court at least for the present.

I would have written this sooner but unfortunately your letter got mislaid, and the thing had slipped my mind.
