Dear Bro:-- I wrote to you on the 24th inst. and telegraphed John W. Young <at Bishop Preston's request,> the same day in your care as follows:-- "Do better here than there -- come home -- bring Amelia."

As it is uncertain whether you have received that letter, and Seymour B. Young is about starting east I thought I would duplicate a portion of it.

We think it quite unnecessary for you to remain in New York after the last company starts, and when you come, if Amelia has not started with John W. I would like you to bring her home with you.

We have just had a rather severe snow storm, but it appears to have passed off for the present. We learn from various parts of the Territory that from 6 to 9 inches of snow have fallen here pretty generally.

I also wrote to you with regard to inquiring into the best kind of coal furnaces for heating the Theatre, at present we have four furnaces in that building, two for wood and two for coal; I don't wish you to lose any time in consequence of this, but if you learn where
furnaces can be procured, price &c. we can order them through Z.C.M.I. Bro. Seymour will require some suitable place to board and we like you to find such a place, which you can doubtless do without much trouble or delay to yourself.

Remember me kindly to John W. Amelia, and all friends, and accept for yourself my best wishes,

I am not yet able to say what time I shall start south, but hope to winter there this season, if all goes well.
Peace be with you, and may you be preserved to return in peace and safety with those are with you.

Your Bro. in the Gospel.
