Prest. Jos. A. Young,
Richfield, Sevier Co.

Dear Bro:

The resignation of Nelson Higgins has been received and accepted by the Prest. and a letter notifying Bro. Higgins of the acceptance will be mailed with this. The Prest. wishes you "to appoint some one in his place for the present." John W. Arrived last night. he looks and feels well. He starts tomorrow to push the Coalville Road, with 200 tons of U.N.R. iron. Your iron is on the way. He was fortunate in catching a chance to get iron on 12 months credit. I believe a large portion of it without interest, giving bonds as collateral. The Prest. has placed some $10.000.00 Z.C.M.I. funds at the disposal of the directors and the probability is, ere 4 weeks lapse the road will be finished, and not any too soon as there never was a time when fuel was so scarce here as now.

The prevailing topic of news (among certain classes) here is John W.'s Clara has had a baby, and that baby is not a male! Mother and child are doing well.

The Prest. is well, and feels well. No indications yet when the Prest. designs going south.
