Mr. George Bonsfield
Spring Lane, Boston, Mass.

Dear Sir,

Yours to Prest. B. Young of Oct. 27. was duly received. It is true he has very many letters similar to yours, and it is generally the case that we are able to refer inquirers to our elders travelling in their vicinities, but I am sorry to say I know of no elder in Boston at present. I think it would be well for you to read up some of our works which you can procure at the "Deseret News" Office, S.L. City, by sending to that address the sum of
$5.00 for Book of Mormon $1.50 O Pratt's Works 1.50 Voice of Warning 75c. Key to Theology &c. &c. There is no glass engraving here, but there is plenty of work for industrious people who are not afraid of it. I, myself, am an engraver, (copper plate letter engraver) and have turned my hand to many different things, and get along pretty well. I have been here 18 years, and have never yet seen cause to regret my coming, but to the
contrary.

Yours respectfully.
D McKenzie.
