Bishop Edward Hunter and Council.

Dear Brethren.

In the case of the Presidency of this Stake of Zion against David Brinton and Preston Lewis for unchristian-like conduct, your opinion as submitted to us was fully approved.

We further decide that those brethren have the privilege of asking forgiveness of the people of Big Cottonwood and when forgiven, that they be restored to fellowship.

But we are convinced that David Brinton cannot preside in the ward with honor to himself and satisfaction
to the people.

We know Bro. Brinton to be a good man, and we appreciate his firmness and integrity, all we have against him is his lack of self government as witnessed in this disgraceful affair.

We sincerely hope that he will strive to overcome his hasty temper, and that both of those brethren will take course in future to gain the confidence of the people.

Wishing you peace and prosperity,

We have the honor to be Your fellow laborers in the Gospel.
