Salt Lake City,
Augt. 8th. 1873.

My Dear Son Brigham:

It is my present intention, accompanied by some of the Apostles, to leave here on Thursday or Friday, the 21st or 22nd instant, for the purpose of holding Meetings at Logan on Saturday and Sunday, the 23rd and 24th inst.

You will take the necessary steps to notify the people of this appointment, so that the attendance may be full one.

It is my intention to go prepared to go over to Bear Lake Valley to the meetings there, if my health will permit me to make the journey. We shall go over by the Blacksmith Fork Road, and come back round by the Springs and down the other Road. Will you see that the Blacksmith Fork Road is put into good condition?

With love to yourself and Lizzie and Mrs. Kraft, and especially to my little Katie.

I remain, as ever, Your Father,
Brigham Young

P. S. I am sending a letter to Amelia, and I wish you to forward it as quickly as you can by some of the brethren who are going up.
