Mr. Thomas Durham,
Parowan.

Dear Bro:-

Yours to Prest. Brigham Young reached here while he is absent in the north, and I have been instructed to attend to his correspondence.

Bro Careless informs me that he has the proposed music on hand, and that there is ample time for you to master it, and that he has written to you to that effect.

He says the music is so simple that your choir could learn it even during the Conference.

I dont know whether the Prest. intended your choir to sing solus, still there would be no impropriety in your being prepared to do so, but it is desirable that all sing together.

Yours in the Gospel,
Daniel H Wells
