Dear Bro:--
 
Yours of this date concerning Thomas Callahan, who is said to have forced a certain young girl, has been received.
 
If you are satisfied of his guilt as alleged, he should be cut off the Church, and afterwards turned over to the Probate Court.
 
How far the woman and the girl are also guilty, we are not prepared to say, it would seem, however, that more or less guilt belongs to them. You should examine into this, and deal with them accordingly.
