Dear Brother:-

At an investigation at Bishop Hunter's residence <1st March> 1869, before the First Presidency of difficulties between yourself and wife Julia, it was decided you should furnish her a home and provide her with support for herself and children. We understand that this decision has not been complied with.

If you provide her and her children with a home and necessities proportioned to the value of your property and the number of your family it will be satisfactory.

It becomes our duty to require this at your hands and we shall be happy to hear that you have done so, otherwise you will have to be severed from the Church.

Your Brethren,

Brigham Young
Geo A Smith
Daniel H Wells
