Dear Sister;

In consequence of ill health, yours of the 10th inst. was not brought to my notice until last evening.

It is a sad case when the head of a family so far forgets himself as you allege your husband does, still, we are not in favor of a wife leaving her husband, if it can be well avoided. Of this you yourself should be the judge.

If you think it best to sue for a divorce you should apply to the Probate Judge, who will give it you, and also make some provision for your support and that of your children from your husband's property.
