Bishop Jacob Weiler

Dear Bro:-

Last November, when you and others were counselled to return from the eastern tour, and to furnish means to aid Bro. Schettler on his mission to Jerusalem, he gave you his note for the amount you advanced him, payable in one year with 12 per cent. interest, with the understanding that he would pay you so soon as he could sell property to raise the money to do so.

Bro. Schettler performed his duties in a satisfactory manner and fully verified your own opinions that he could do much more good on the mission than you could have done. But, not having been able to sell his property, he cannot meet your demand at present, and I desire you will grant him an extension of time, without increase of interest; I believe this to be your duty, and that in doing it, you will be blessed accordingly.

Your Bro. in the Gospel,
Geo. A. Smith
