I hereby acknowledge receipt of 51 Boxes Books, delivered at my Office on the 17th inst. by Mr. Daniel Miller, from Kanesville Iowa, which contained the accompanying list
I am informed that these Books were stored in Kanesville by Hon. J. E. Brocchus, in whose care they were placed by the Department of State on his entry and trip to this City, as Associate Justice of the Territory in the Spring of 1851, and since then, no opportunity presented until the present season for their transportation.
