I think that I advised u b4, that 5 of the wagons sent south for lumbering purposes (the 5 large ones) were donated to the St. George Temple by the USRR Co. The one from Box Elder Co. with its load of flour & 4 yokes oxen were also a donation. Fountain Green expects the one sent from there to b returned with the oxen, I suppose some time in May
Bp Seeley wires me that "Bros. Bennett and Merrick went as Missionaries No time allotted or wages specified"
Bp Herrick wires me that "Bros Evans & Jones <were sent> for 4 or 5 months and that they were to be satisfied for their labor either on tithing or donation"
John Barton from Kaysville expects credit on his PEF Co indebtedness for his services.
Simian Dunn from Box Elder Co will be paid by that Co. & was instructed to remain 6 Months & should u need him 6 months longer he will stay at the expense of that Co. so Bp Nichols told me.
Mathen Caldwell from Fountain Green expects to return when the team from that place, does.
B.T. Mitchell's 2 sons were sent south by Bp Hunter to cut stone I suppose they will remain as long as u want them.

I understand that Fountain Green sends their man & team at 3$ per day. Yokes & bows were
furnished with most of the oxen

The Corn to feed Oxen while enroute was from Spanish Fork & payson -- Extra yokes chains Covers &c &c were furnished here.
I hope to secure thro' the Tg. office & on donation most of the oxen that were borrowed -- Will let u know as soon as I learn
Bro Bennett thinks that he can build a tank for carrying water for oxen on the deserts. of this of course he will speak with u.

North of Ephraim have not over 600 bus. at this writing So with the North West & East Cant see much prospect of feeding the public hands here much longer unless we can borrow which we may be able to do. Meat chickens & vegetables have been & r quite abundant.
