My Dear Nephew,

It is my wish and the vote of the Council that you shall accompany Franklin D. Richards [loss] good opportunity, and one which it will be best [?] for you to improve.

I think that you should [loss] your place to some good person, who will keep it in good repair for you and move your family to [loss] and with her friends, while you are absent upon this Mission. Bro. Franklin will start about the first of April, you will therefore perceive that you have [loss] in making ready coming to this city a company coming through with whom [loss] and see that you have enough

My family are [loss] my own health is good, rather better this winter. The weather is, and has been quite cold, but at rather moderating at present. You will leave with Brother D. J. Smith, you [loss] for the present.
Hoping that you will improve the earliest opportunity to meet us here,

I have concluded since writing the foregoing, that
you had better come to this city forthwith for the
company going to England will start with the 1st of
March Mail, and avoid the high waters between this
