Your note of yesterday, has just been received, and I would have you distinctly understand, that although we have advertised in the News, and requested prompt payment of debts due the Perpetual Emigrating Fund Company, that we have not the least disposition to oppress the poor or those who are in embarrassed circumstances and not able to pay; such being your situation I would inform you not to be perplexed or distressed about the matter, but always do right and when you get able to pay do it cheerfully and the Lord will bless upi.
