Dear Brother,

I hold in my hands an order on you for $18 70/100 drawn by Chas. Cowley in favor of the fund for this am't for money loaned you to pay your passage to this country.

I am also authorized to collect interest on that am't from the time you received it till now, you will therefore please call at this office at your earliest opportunity and liquidate the debt.
