Bishop Tarlton Lewis, Parowan.

Dear Brother:--
I learn that you wished some instructions in regard to the course that you should pursue in regard to the Men who were sent to your place that have been engaged in the Public Works. I layed the matter before President Young and he instructed me to say, for you to let them have Tithing flour, butter, eggs, and such other produce as you might receive, and they should need; taking care that they bring orders for what they get, from Nathan Davis who has charge, as he must see that the hands do not overdraw.

Respectfully I remain your Brother
in the Gospel of Christ

Daniel H Wells
