Dear Brother and Sister:--

Your letter of July 25, 1857 has but recently been received owing to the irregularity of the Eastern Mail, and we hasten in reply to say that the following is a copy of an entry made in the Book of the Law of the Lord, Sept. 25, 1856:


"Received of Sarah Whitney, per hand of John Riggs, Cash, Ten Dollars, on tithing, per Bishop Edward Hunter's report. The above named sister lives in Moira, Franklin Co. N. Y."
