Dear Brother:

John Mallet the stepson of Abram Esnouf who lives at Lehi says that Mr Bennam is about to sacrifice their property to wit. a wagon and yoke of cattle of which he the said John Mallet is equal joint owner with his step father Brother  and that the said Esnouf is careless and even indifferent about paying the debt aforesaid to the said Bennam which is for his mothers and families emigration amounting to fifty dollars, that said Bennam is about to leave the Territory and wants his pay.  He has twenty dollars which he is willing to put in and has pledged to President Young his share of the wagon and team aforesaid for thirty dollars more which the President has loaned him and which he agrees to pay in two or three weeks

The parties are all strangers to us you will therefore please see that the property so pledged be not disposed of until the thirty dollars loaned is fully paid back as agreed upon by Brother Mallet.

I remain very truly your friend and
Brother in the Gospel of Christ

In court the charges versus James Ferguson on Mr Burrs motion were withdrawn so much thereof as related to the intimidation of the court which were referred to the grand jury now in session.  "Steady boys" let down as easy as possible.
