Gentlemen:

Should you obtain the contract for grain, proposals for which have been issued by the Deputy Quarter Master, General G. H. Crossman, I will undertake to furnish it to you upon the following terms.  First say I will furnish 100,000 bushels of wheat at $4.00 per bushel, 50,000 bushels of Barley and oats at $3.00 per bushel; or if the barley and oats can not be conveniently obtained furnish the equivalent, pounds in wheat, all to be delivered in bulk at Camp Floyd, or in this city on, or before the time specified in the proposal.

Second. that I shall receive from you, on delivery, one half of the entire proceeds of the contract over and above the prices for the grain above specified, after deducting the necessary expenses of storing, or delivering at Fort Bridger.
