Dear Bro. A brother living at Battle Creek by the name of John Le. Sueur has paid me twenty two dollars currency, for which he wants a young heifer, say two years old or there abouts. I have accordingly given him an order on you to let him have such an animal if you have one belonging to the Church.

If there is any balance he will pay it to you. If you can accommodate this matter please do so and oblige your Brother.
