Sir:--

I have just received your note of this date, respecting the per diem of Members and Officers of the Legislative Assembly, in which you say "an interview with Attorney Gen. Wilson has cause d me to change my opinion, and ask if the enclosed form will meet with your approval.'  In reply I have only to observe that if it better suits your views than the one already signed and distributed to the members and Officers of the council, and you will pay them of which I am not advised, that I have objection to exchanging certificates when those already distributed are taken up.  If you will take them up as you pay then  I will sign for the council such as you propose in your letter whenever it suits your convenience
