Dear Sir:--
The bark mill that you have making at the Sugar Works is progressing as fast as possible, the hopper is already cast and the pattern for the grinder will be done soon; the entire job will be finished the last of this week. I did not know that the work had so far progressed until I had an opportunity of seeing Bro. Davis which I did this morning and find that the work is nearly done, as above stated. It appears that Bro. Hammond had ordered him to proceed with it.
