Bishop John L. Butler

Dear Brother:
There is a man by the name of Edward Jones who complains of having been cut off from the Church without knowing the reason. He says that he knows of nothing <that has caused this action> unless his going to Camp Floyd to earn a few necessary articles which he very much needed, but that he has come here to live his religion and wishes to maintain his standing and fellowship in the Church; You will please state if you know any thing against him or reason why he should be deprived of his membership in the Church and send by return Mail if convenient or as soon after as you can

Your Brother in the Gospel of Christ
