Elder Dwight Eveleth,
San Francisco, California,

Dear Brother:-- Agreeable to br. Morey's wish as per your letter, I drew upon you, Nov. 19, draft No 220, favor of J. B. Kimball & Co., for $50 000/payable three days after sight. J. B. Kimball & Co., (now Kimball and Lawrence) had business transactions in California, and gave Sister Morey $5000/100 in money for said draft, which I trust will be promptly paid, as I have no interest in the matter except to accommodate brother and sister Morey. I have Sister Morey's receipt for the $50 00/100, and will forward it to you should you at any time wish me to.

Nothing of very special interest has transpired within our peaceful borders since my last to you. Our commodious theatre is being rapidly inclosed and as the weather continues unusually favorable, we hope it will so continue until the roof is completed, when we expect to be able to so far finish the inside as to have it ready for comfortable use during a portion of the coming winter.

The wire east and west breaks occasionally, but so soon as the weak places are found out and strengthened and the stations fully established and organized, we expect to receive daily advices of even-date important events in the States, and speedy news of the general movement of affairs abroad.

The people continue prosperous and industrious, and very generally enjoy the great blessing of good health.

Your Brother in the Gospel,

Brigham Young
