Dear Brother:-
Your letter of the 6th ult. was handed to me yesterday. I was pleased to hear from you but rather surprised at the nature of the communication you make, it was the first that I heard of any such thing, and if such a report was circulated here, and such threats made as those you refer to neither ever came to my ears.

All that I have to say in the matter is, Brother Isaac come home, do right, and all will be well.
