Dear Brother:-
Your note of the 26th ult. would have received an earlier reply, had I been  in possession of the information you desired, or known whom to refer you to for it. To-day br. A. O. Smoot called upon me, and upon inquiry I learned that he deemed himself more or less acquainted with the circumstances inducing the action you refer to, and said that he would inform you in relation thereto, whenever you might choose to call upon him for that purpose.
