Dear brother
It is my will and counsel that you take a trip to California in company with bro: William E. Homer, whom I recommend as a worthy good man, and who you will find to be a good counsellor, and from whom you can seek advice, and when you are there you will endeavor to settle the affairs of your deceased nephew, and make yourself as comfortable as you can; when you can, take a tour to the United States.

Whenever an opportunity affords you to speak, lift up your voice in boldness and with much assurance, and preach the Gospel of Salvation to your fellowmen, fearing not what man can do unto you, but rather fear your God who has power to destroy you.
And when you have settled your Father's affairs then return again to the Valley in the course of next Season <or as soon as you can>  and may all choice blessings continue with you; and you be preserved in safety and peace until your return, is the prayer of
