Sir:
It is expected that the Shoshones or Snakes and the Utah Indians will meet in this city on to morrow or next day, the principal object of which is to conclude a treaty of peace between them. Presuming that you might wish to attend, I therefore extend unto you this notice with an invitation to attend if convenient.
