Thos. J. Wheeler

Dear Brother:--
We have forwarded a letter to President Silas Smith and the High Council of Provo, informing them of the decision of the First Presidency in regard to the appeal of yourself and father, which is as follows -- "That Thomas J. Wheeler recover for himself and father, John Wheeler the sum of five hundred dollars, and that this amount he apportioned among the defendents as follows: -- That Thos. Ross pay two hundred dollars, Lucius N. Scovil two hundred dollars and Isaac Higbee one hundred dollars."

We consider that no cause of action existed at the time attachment was issued at the instance of Thos. Ross-- against yourself and father.

Ever ready to administer impartial justice to all men, and to maintain those rights which the kingdom of God guarantees her subjects

We remain as ever your Brethren in the Gospel
